This is one of the state's oldest historical landmarks, as well as one of Lagos' oldest theatre halls. The Glover Memorial Hall (GMH) is a heritage structure in Lagos dedicated to theatre and the performing arts which has
recently received some renovations.
The Hall was built in 1887, and was named in honour of Sir John Hawley Glover. It is well-known for staging plays, concerts, and other forms of entertainment. Glover Memorial Hall is
a symbol of the city's unique culture and history, and the founding of an
Islamic establishment in the division, which was created in 1862.
