At the 2025 Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit (CTIS), the Governor of Lagos State led a high-level Governor’s Roundtable aimed at unlocking fresh opportunities for investment in Africa’s largest city.

The roundtable provided a strategic platform for Lagos to present its success story to the international business community, highlighting the state’s growth as a hub for innovation, finance, and the creative industries.

During the session, the Governor reaffirmed Lagos’s commitment to driving economic expansion by attracting investment across key sectors. He emphasized the state’s progress in strengthening its regulatory framework and enhancing infrastructure to support business activities.

“Lagos has emerged as a beacon of resilience and ambition, with a dynamic private sector at the core of our development,” the Governor stated. “To sustain this momentum, we must continue to create an enabling environment—improving access to credit, ensuring reliable infrastructure, maintaining supportive regulations, and fostering a responsive public sector.”

He further noted that government’s role is to listen, support, and empower, adding that with the right partnerships, Lagos is well-positioned to remain a continental leader and a competitive global player.
