Lagos State Government Warns Against Human Rights Abuse

Lagos State Government has warned that human rights abuses will not be tolerated in the State, adding that the present administration will bring the full weight of the law on any perpetrator.

The Director, Citizens Rights Directorate, Ministry of Justice, Ms. Adetutu Oshinusi, made this known at an event organised by the directorate, which held at Ketu Market Lagos, stating that the government has all it takes to safeguard the rights of its citizens and prosecute human right offenders to the full

extent of the law. Oshinusi said, "The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, through the Directorate, is always available to attend to all forms of abuses, such as child abuse, psychological or emotional abuse, domestic abuse, financial or material abuse among others towards curbing them in the State"
