Lagos Hosts Danish Ambassador to Deepen Trade and Sustainability Ties

On the 17th of April, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu welcomed the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Mr. Jens Ole Bach Hansen, to Lagos House, Marina. The ambassador was accompanied by the Consul General and Head of Trade, Ms. Jette Bjerrum.
The high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties, with particular attention given to collaboration in trade, investment, and sustainable development. Both parties exchanged insights on shared priorities, including economic innovation, climate-conscious growth, and smart infrastructure.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended Denmark’s reputation for sustainability and green innovation, noting that Lagos is eager to adopt best practices that align with its long-term development goals. Discussions highlighted potential areas for partnership, especially in clean energy, environmental technology, and urban planning.

This visit forms part of the Lagos State Government’s broader agenda to engage international partners and promote global cooperation. It also signals new opportunities for the Lagos diaspora, especially entrepreneurs and professionals with interests in sustainability, trade, and international business.
