890 students sponsored by the Lagos State government have graduated from the African Film Academy. The graduants were trained in Acting, Art Directing, Light and Lighting, Editing, Sound Production and Post Production, among other things as part
of the Film in a Box initiative at the Epe, Alimosho and Badagry centres even as the
government works towards the Lagos Film City project.
The state has provided grants and funding for the creative industry in Lagos to be the best in Africa. Gov. SanwoOlu firmly believes that these will go on to be future directors and
participants of projects that will win local and International awards and recognition.
